Most Australians take Rainbow Lorikeets for granted because they are one of the most common birds – if not the most common species – seen in gardens and parks throughout coastal areas. But this is a spectacular parrot with a complex and interesting life. This includes their social behaviours in a flock and between pairs, their diet, nesting and raising of young, and so much more. There’s a lot to the Rainbow Lorikeet and unlike many other native species, they aren’t one for hiding when the camera comes out. This page is all about the life of the Rainbow Lorikeet.
