With such a huge variety of parrots throughout Australia, their lifespans will naturally be as variable as their appearance and the haibtats they live in.

Very little is known about how long most parrots live in the wild. After all, it would take tracking and monitoring of large numbers of each species from a very young age.

Life in the wild can be tough and many parrots will live a short time, but we know that parrots in general are long lived species so there’s certain to be indivdiuals (possibly large numbers) who live very long lives in the wild.
