A “common” parrot in Australia is one that’s considered easy to see and occuring in relatively large numbers so not to be endangered or a threatened species.

Throughout Australia there are a few spceies that we can cosndier common. Depending where in the country you are, many of these birds will be seen everyday with little to no effort. Widespread birds like Rainbow Lorikeets and Galahs are part of life throughout their range and as you simply go about your day, those birds will be there in the trees, on the ground, and flying through the sky. It’s these common parrots that make daily life in Australia special for both bird loving residents and visitors alike.
